For those who may not know, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has quite a history! This game was brought to us via a Kickstarter in 2020, by “Rabbit and Bear” studios, which was started by non other then Yoshitaka Murayama who used to work for Konami and was the creator of the beloved “Suikoden” series, working on Suikoden 1, 2 and 3 before leaving the company. Well, since Konami is no longer really a video game company (which is such a shame), Yoshitaka decided to turn to Kickstarter to bring us this spiritual successor to Suikoden alongside several other ex-Konami developers. And oh man, did they ever succeed, raising 480 million Yen to fund the project.
A spiritual successor to the Suikoden series, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a classic JRPG that gives you the opportunity to recruit over 100 characters throughout your journey. Nowa, a boy from a small village, travels to the city to become a member of the Watch, only to be suckered into a plot to stop an empire from utilizing Rune-Lenses to expand their power and reach.
