Greedfall is an action open-world RPG. You take the role of De Sarte, nephew of the kingdom’s prince, who embarks on a journey to find a cure for a disease they call the ‘Malichor’. There are rumours that a cure can be found on an uncharted island.
Core RPG mechanics include levels, stats and skill trees. When you first create your character you will be prompted to choose your appearance, a starting class that gives you starting skills, along with Attributes and Talents. Attributes are passive skills related to combat, whereas Talents are skills that can help outside combat, such as Lockpicking or crafting.
Side Quests are another typical RPG mechanic that Greedfall offers. Initially, you’ll unlock side quests by following the main story-line, but you can also obtain them from Companions. You cannot give orders to your companions, but you can talk and exchange equipment.
